Why Canada Isn't Boring
The major travel website WorldHum.com has posted a list of Eight Reasons Why Canada Isn't Boring Among the superlatives listed by author Eva Holland are our highway to the Arctic Ocean, our full crop of comedians, and our killer foods, from poutine to Nanaimo bars. Holland cites the Athabasca Sand Dunes as the ultimate backcountry, a fragile environment possibly rich in oil just waiting to be exploited. The Cirque du Soleil is justifiably on Eva's list. The Queen Charlotte Islands or Haida Gwaii offers “some of the best sea kayaking in the world” while Quttinirpaaq National Park on Ellesmere Island hosts more polar bears than people. Even hockey ham Don Cherry appears on Holland's quirky list.
