Just like I enjoy being understood in the different languages I speak."

Gisèle Léger-Drapeau grew up in Shediac, a small tourist town located by the Bay of the same name in south-eastern New Brunswick. Fresh air, the sea, apple trees, and life on her grand-parents' farms were early shapers of her approach to life. Her career as a full-time professional artist began in the early 1990s. She is very passionate about art and views being an artist as a privilege. She states, "I am as fascinated by the wonderful textures in a weathered face as I am by the innocence of children."

The opening Reception is on Thursday, February 19, 2009, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, catered by 24 Carrots with entertainment by Bijoux du Bayou. For more information please call 250-754-1750.
