Oceanside Route Driving Tour

Oceanside Route Driving TourAn Oceanside Route Driving Tour has been added to this website to complement our existing North and South Nanaimo driving tours. The Oceanside Tour begins at the Craig Heritage Park Museum in Parksville and carries on to Rathrevor Provincial Park, the Englishman River estuary, Parksville Community Park, and historic St Anne's Anglican Church. At French Creek, the passenger ferry to Lasqueti Island is introduced. In Qualicum Beach, you'll enjoy Milner Gardens, the waterfront, the Power House Museum, the Ravensong Aquatic Centre, and the Old School House Art Gallery. From there, the tour leads five kilometers south to Coombs and Butterfly World, the Old Country Market, and the World Parrot Refuge. In Errington there's the North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre, Tiger Lily Farm, and Englishman River Falls Provincial Park.

We've included eight photos on the page with clickable pop-ups for detail, and there's a coded map to help you find your way. Exact distances and driving directions are provided. Finally, there's a separate printable version which you're welcome to print out for personal use. It fits nicely on four pages including the map. If you'll be hosting out-of-town visitors this summer, this tour and the others in the series will make perfect guides for your guests. Each is a great way to spend a day.
