Don Stone Leaves FPN

Friends of Plan Nanaimo held their Third Annual General Meeting at Bowen Park tonight and Don Stone tendered his resignation as president of the organization. Stone has retired from his position in the Geography Department at Vancouver Island University and is moving to Vancouver. He’s seen here receiving a commemorative plaque from FPN director Ron Bolin. Both Don and Ron were candidates in the November 2005 municipal election in Nanaimo and came close to winning seats on council. Bon voyage Don Stone!
