The Foundry Pub Nanaimo

The Foundry PubThe Foundry Pub, 125 Comox Road, is named for the historic Nanaimo Foundry which existed across the street from 1892 until its demolition in 2007. It's an easy walk from the downtown Nanaimo hotels, and there's ample free parking at the nearby Maffeo Sutton Park.

This popular sports bar has an attractive open structure vaguely reminiscent of an iron foundry. Sporting events are shown on six television sets and two large screens. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings there's karaoke.

The food menu at The Foundry Pub includes appys like quesadillas, potato skins, and nachos. For lunch there are wraps, chicken burgers, clubhouse sandwiches, and steak sandwiches, all with salad or fries. Among the dinner offerings are halibut and chips, Mediterranean chicken, and steaks.

Saturday and Sunday brunch is two eggs, two pieces of toast, two strips of bacon or two sausages, and hashbrowns. The Foundry Pub is open Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 1 am, Sunday from 11 am to midnight.
